Mathematical Graphics
Mathematics understanding can be enhanced with clear and accurate images. The following show a variety of concepts and range of levels.
Diagrams have been created using Corel PaintShop. Another common graphics program is Adobe Photoshop that could be used to create diagrams using similar skills as well.
There may be other graphics programs that can be used to create Mathematical diagrams but it is important to use Layers. With practice, quite complex drawings can be quickly and easily drawn.
Creating Graphics in Mathematics
It should be stated that there is no affiliation with the following manufacturers of these graphics programs. It is known that they are capable of producing high quality Mathematical diagrams. In no way would these be considered to be the only products capable of making diagrams suitable for use in Mathematics.
The graphics programs suggested include
How to Create Mathematical Graphics
The information given in the following is a guide to being able to create any Mathematical diagram. There are two versions that can be used either separately or combined and will depend upon the level of skill of the user. The first is a basic overview of the process and is quite short and is intended as a guide / reminder for those with quite competent skills while the second shows explanation in much more depth (this gives clear instructions about how to create Mathematical diagrams in many different situations and can be applied in areas beyond Mathematics).
The detailed explanation refers to the use of PaintShop Pro as the program of choice. It should be noted that there will be obvious differences in functionality between PaintShop Pro and Photoshop but there should be a very similar process used to create the images.
